A little about me.....
My name is Jennifer Nicol and this is my 16th year teaching 5th thru 12th grade bands at the Ubly Community Schools. This year I will also be teaching music appreciation and technology classes in grades 5, 6, and 7.
Music is my passion - in 2nd grade I started taking piano lessons and in 5th grade I chose flute as my major instrument. I also marched sousaphone in the marching band from 7th until 12th grade at Laker High School. I am an alumni of Central Michigan University - Fire Up Chips!!! In 2006, I graduated with my Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music, Chicago.
I have been married to my husband Jason for 14 1/2 years and we have 2 sons - Graham and Blaine. We attend Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe.
I was born and raised in the Thumb - graduating valedictorian from Laker High School in 1997. My parents, brothers, nephews all still live in Elkton and my inlaws live in the Cass City area.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading and peace and quiet.
